Day 5 - Base Camp to Rilong
The girl, Yesline told me that I've made a good decision not to attack summit. With that level of oxygen, I can easily get heart attack while climbing.
Morning at base camp is quiet and serene.

Enjoying the view while waiting for other teammates to go down.
At 10am - there are climbers already heading down. The earliest grup are 2 climbers from Malaysia. Edy from Malaysia, reached Base Camp with his client.
Sambil-sambil sembang, tanya jugak teammates ada dekat mana. He told me that everyone reached summit and heading back down. Alhamdulillah...semua yang naik sampai ke puncak.
When Yeslin told him that I have low oxygen level, he offered his oxygen tank to boost the oxygen level until it reached the safe level of more than 80%. He also gave me Diomax to reduce the dizziness. He told me that, I should evacuate immediately with that level of oxygen.
Reminder notes: Oximeter reading is important when climbing high altitude mountains. At least, we know our oxygen level and our heart rate. If not everyone bring the reader, at least the captain have one.
Going down - Beautiful view with high price and priceless experience. |
