Travellingbie: Why do you need Travel Insurance?

Why do we need travel insurance?
I always question myself, why do we need travel insurance. We already have life insurance, personal accident insurance, hospitalization insurance and some people they have all types of insurance for them.
Why?
Let me ask you few questions firsts.
  1. If you happen to have accident in overseas trip, do your current insurance covers you until abroad?
  2. Do you want a peace of mind while travelling?
What is the reason to buy travel insurance?
  1. Your flight has been cancelled.
  2. Your bags are lost and your important things are in the bag.
  3. Your passport and wallet are stolen, and you need emergency cash and a replacement passport.
  4. You're involved in an accident
  5. You need to cancel your trip due to illness.
  6. Your cruise line, airline or tour operator goes bankrupt. You need your non-refundable expenses covered and to get to your destination.
  7. You have a medical emergency in a foreign country.
  8. A terrorist incident occurs in the city where you’re planning to visit and you want to cancel your trip.
  9. A hurricane forces you to evacuate your resort, hotel or cruise.
Please read carefully and thoroughly your travel insurance documents. To know the details are important. You might not want to get dissapointed when any of the above happens to you and your travel insurance does not cover it enough to pay for the losses you encounter during travelling.
There are many travel insurance in Malaysia. I have tried few travel insurance such as AXA, and Takaful Malaysia. Before buying, you can make a comparison among the travel insurance providers which can offer more benefit and less cost.

Travel with peace in mind is vital. You might not want any bad incidents happen during your travelling. But to make it more safer, buy travel insurance. :)
